Short version: Quilt Confident is built to work privately. Your photos are analyzed on your device and are never sent to us. Your fabric stash and projects are stored on your device and in your own private iCloud account — we cannot see them. The only information that leaves your device is the purchase and subscription data needed to run your subscription, handled by Apple and by our subscription provider, RevenueCat. We do not sell your data, show ads, or track you across other companies' apps.
This Privacy Policy explains how the app Quilt Confident: Fabric & Calc ("the App," "we," "us") handles your information. The App is provided by John Stavropoulos ("the Developer"). Questions? Contact johnstav96@gmail.com.
Information we collect
We keep data collection to a minimum. The App has no accounts and no login, shows no ads, and does not track you across other apps. Here is exactly what happens:
Photos and camera: When you use the fabric "pop or blend" check, the App accesses a photo you choose (or the camera) and analyzes it entirely on your device. Photos are not uploaded to us or any third party.
Your stash, projects, and calculator inputs: Stored locally on your device and, if you enable iCloud, synced through your own private iCloud account (Apple's CloudKit private database). The Developer has no access to this data.
Purchases and subscription status: To sell and manage your subscription we use Apple's in-app purchase system and RevenueCat, a subscription-management service. When you subscribe or tap Restore, RevenueCat receives your purchase/transaction information and app-generated identifiers (an anonymous RevenueCat user ID and device identifiers such as Apple's Identifier for Vendors) so the correct features unlock on your devices. Used only to operate and restore your subscription and for basic subscription analytics; not linked to your name and not used for advertising. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
We do not collect your name, email, contacts, location, or browsing behavior, and we do not use advertising identifiers (IDFA) or track you across other companies' apps.
Information handled by Apple (not by us)
Some functions rely on Apple's systems, handled by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy, not by the Developer:
Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit. We never receive your payment details; we may receive anonymous, aggregate sales reports that do not identify you.
iCloud sync of your stash and projects is provided by Apple's iCloud/CloudKit using your Apple account.
Apple may collect diagnostic and usage data at the operating-system level according to your device settings.
How your information is used
We use the limited purchase data described above only to operate your subscription — unlocking paid features, restoring your purchase on a new device, and understanding overall subscription totals. Data stored on your device / in your iCloud is used only to provide the App's features to you.
Sharing and selling
We do not sell or rent your information, and we have no advertisers and no data brokers. We share purchase data only with the service providers that run your subscription — Apple (payment processing) and RevenueCat (subscription management) — and only for that purpose.
Data retention and deletion
Your stash, projects, and settings remain on your device and in your iCloud until you delete them (delete items in the App, delete the App, or remove the data from your iCloud storage) — we never receive this data, so there is nothing for us to delete on our side. Purchase records held by Apple and RevenueCat are retained under their own policies; you can email us to request deletion of your RevenueCat subscriber record.
Children's privacy
The App is intended for a general adult audience (quilters) and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Your rights
Because we do not collect or store your personal information, most data-rights requests apply to data you already control on your device and in your iCloud. For any privacy question, email johnstav96@gmail.com.
Changes to this policy
If the App's data practices change (for example, if analytics are added in a future version), we will update this policy and revise the "Last updated" date above, and disclose it where required.
